Student of the Summer

Well, this time I had to pick a student of the summer.  Nate amazed me by coming back after a couple months break from piano lessons and informing me that he practiced 715 minutes this summer while I was away!  Great job Nate!!

Check out this link about a homeless man in Florida who has not forgotten his piano skills.  Piano has the ability to encourage and lift up even those who have hit bottom.

American Recital

Congratulations to all my students on a job well done at the American Recital this month.  The audience enjoyed hearing your favorite things about our country and we all enjoyed listening to some familiar American tunes.  I was proud of you all and thought it was an very successful recital.  Thank you for all your hard work!

Student of the Week

I chose David as a Student of the Week because he has been practicing up a storm.  He just started piano and is already quickly depleting my prize bag :)  He learned Ode to Joy in just one week with two hands and is quickly mastering Jingle Bells.  Keep up the great practicing, David!

Back in Washington State

Hard to believe it has been a whole year since I posted.  It has been a busy year with a new baby girl coming along in May :)  We just returned from a summer in Pennsylvania and it was so good to see all my students out there and I am looking forward to continuing with some of them over Skype :)  This Fall should be a lot of fun as we start some new competitions and I also have a new prize bag for students who practice hard :)  Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Civil War Recital

Congratulations to all of you on another successful recital.  I was so proud watching all my students perform at the Civil War Recital.  I will miss all of you very much as I move to Washington State.  I hope and pray the best for each one of you as you go on from here. Keep on playing and keep having fun with the piano :)  Thanks for being such a great group of students.  I have enjoyed being your teacher.
God bless,
Mrs. McCoy
